Industrial pallets dimensions
Industrial pallets with standardized dimensions are available on the market, according to ISO 6780:2003. In Europe, a single-use pal let of 800 x 1200 mm is commonly used, but single-use pallet dimensions of 1000 x 1200 mm and 800 x 600 mm are also available. Euro construction pallets are equipped with a special certificate, which entitles them to use in international shipping. The production of euro pallets requires the appropriate EPAL license, and the process of repairing them must be carried out in accordance with specific regulations, as evidenced by the distinctive nail with the EPAL symbol. Pallets whose repair does not meet the requirements or was performed by a company without the appropriate license lose their status as Europallets and are classified as disposable.
The disposable industrial pallet can be manufactured directly, using grade II or III softwood, wood waste and plastic foamed materials, subjected to additional heat treatment to ensure adequate strength. When buying disposable pallets, it is important to match them to the type and weight of the cargo being transported.
